Seatcrafter is built around local student data.

Student data

All student data stays on your device. No confidential student data is transmitted to our servers.

Student names, seating charts, seating rules, flags, and room layouts are stored in your browser or in files you download and manage. If you choose to share a downloaded file, you control where that file goes.

Account data

When you create an account, Seatcrafter may store account information such as your email address, display name, account tier, subscription or entitlement status, coupon status, marketing email preference, and basic timestamps needed to operate the account.

We use account data to provide sign-in, unlock account and premium features, handle billing or beta access, and respond to support requests.

Local storage and files

Seatcrafter uses browser storage for autosave and session recovery. Clearing browser data can remove locally saved work. Downloaded class files and layout files are controlled by you and may contain student information if you put student information in them.

Email

If you opt in to product updates, we may use your email address to send launch notes, product updates, beta information, and related Seatcrafter messages. You can change this preference in account settings.

Service providers

Seatcrafter uses service providers for account sign-in, hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and payment processing. These providers may process account-level data needed to run the service. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored directly by Seatcrafter.

Your choices

• You can use guest mode for local-only work.
• You can clear browser storage to remove local autosave data from a device.
• You can delete downloaded class files from your own computer.
• You can contact us about account or privacy requests at support@seatcrafter.com.
